Description

The Beelink ME Pro 2-Bay AI NAS Mini PC brings Intel’s newest Wildcat Lake Core™ 3 304 chip to a proper hybrid NAS chassis — SATA drive bays and NVMe SSD expansion in one modular unit, backed by genuinely fast 10GbE+2.5GbE networking. For homelabbers and small businesses who want to build serious network storage without buying into an expensive dedicated NAS ecosystem, this is a flexible, upgrade-friendly option.

Key Features

  • Intel® Core™ 3-304 “Wildcat Lake” Processor — A 5-core / 5-thread chip built on Intel’s 18A process, boosting up to 4.3GHz, delivering 24 TOPS of on-device AI compute for lightweight AI-assisted NAS workloads like photo indexing and search, all while sipping power.
  • Massive Combined Storage Capacity — Two 2.5″/3.5″ SATA bays each support drives up to 30TB, alongside a dedicated M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot supporting up to 4TB — up to 64TB of total addressable storage in one compact unit.
  • Dual Thunderbolt 4 Ports — Two 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports support video output and ultra-fast external storage expansion, ideal for editing directly off network-attached drives or docking additional peripherals.
  • 10GbE + 2.5GbE Dual LAN — Genuine 10 Gigabit Ethernet alongside a 2.5 Gigabit port means this NAS can actually saturate modern SSD-backed storage pools instead of bottlenecking at Gigabit speeds — a real differentiator versus budget NAS boxes.
  • DDR5 Memory + UFS 3.1 System Storage — DDR5 5600MT/s memory (expandable to 64GB) keeps the NAS OS and services responsive, while a separate 512GB UFS 3.1 flash drive handles the system partition for fast, low-latency boot and app performance independent of your data drives.
  • Modular, DIY-Friendly Design — A unibody metal chassis with a 50% smaller footprint than typical tower NAS units, built around a drawer-style, swappable motherboard design compatible with both Intel and AMD platforms — genuinely serviceable and upgradeable hardware.

Why Choose the ME Pro for Your Homelab

Most consumer NAS boxes force a trade-off: either you get a locked-down appliance with a polished app but weak, aging hardware inside, or you build your own server and lose the plug-and-play simplicity. The ME Pro tries to close that gap. It’s built around a genuinely current Intel platform (18A Wildcat Lake, launched in 2026) rather than recycled years-old silicon, it has enough networking bandwidth to actually make use of SSD-speed storage over the network, and the drawer-style modular design means you’re not stuck with today’s motherboard forever.

For homelab builds, this is a strong foundation for Plex or Jellyfin media serving, Time Machine and PC backup targets, a Docker/container host running alongside your storage, or a small business file server that needs both bulk HDD capacity (up to 30TB per bay) and fast NVMe scratch space for active projects. The dual Thunderbolt 4 ports also mean you’re not limited to network throughput alone — you can dock external high-speed storage directly for editing or large local transfers.

It’s a NAS built for people who want the storage capacity of a traditional two-bay unit without giving up the connectivity and processing headroom you’d expect from a modern mini PC.

4 reviews for Beelink ME Pro 2-Bay AI NAS Mini PC IntelĀ® Wildcat Lake 304

  1. Finn O.

Took a while to arrive as it shipped as a preorder, but the wait was worth it. 10GbE transfers to my desktop are hitting close to the theoretical max, very happy with the throughput.

  2. Mateusz K.

Hardware itself is excellent but the documentation for setting up RAID and the swappable motherboard options was pretty thin, ended up figuring most of it out through the Beelink forums rather than anything included in the box.

  3. Priya N.

Built this out as a Proxmox NAS with a couple of spare HDDs I had lying around. The modular drawer design is genuinely clever, drives slide in and out without any tools. Boots from the UFS storage almost instantly.

  4. Daniel O.

Swapped drives in and out a few times while I was testing RAID configs and it’s been painless. Runs warm with two HDDs spinning but that’s to be expected, fans keep it in check.
