Description

This refurbished Dell OptiPlex tower combines a strong 8th-generation Intel Core i7 with a dedicated GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and a generous dual-storage setup — 1TB of SSD plus a full 1TB hard drive — giving you fast everyday performance and plenty of room for your entire game and media library.

Key Features

  • Intel Core i7-8700 Processor — A 6-core, 12-thread 8th-generation “Coffee Lake” CPU, a genuinely strong chip that still holds up well for gaming and multitasking.
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB) — Dedicated Pascal-architecture graphics with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, delivering real gaming performance beyond integrated graphics.
  • 16GB DDR4 Memory — Comfortable headroom for Windows 11, multitasking, and gaming.
  • 1TB SSD + 1TB HDD — A full terabyte of fast SSD storage for your operating system and most-played games, plus another full terabyte of traditional hard drive space for the rest of your library, media and files — 2TB combined.
  • Full Tower Case — Solid airflow and room for future upgrades.
  • Windows 11 Pro — Genuine, pre-installed and ready to use.
  • Professionally Refurbished — Fully tested and inspected before sale.
  • Ports & Connectivity — Dell OptiPlex business I/O including multiple USB 3.0 ports, DisplayPort output, and Gigabit Ethernet for a reliable wired connection.
  • Tested Before It Ships — Every unit undergoes a full functional test of CPU, RAM, both storage drives, and GPU before it’s approved for sale.

Budget Gaming with Serious Storage Headroom

Being upfront about the graphics card: the GTX 1050 Ti is an entry-level GPU by today’s standards, first launched back in 2016, so this system is best matched to esports titles — CS2, Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite on lower settings — running smoothly at 1080p, plus older or lighter AAA titles at low-to-medium settings. It’s not built for maxing out the newest blockbuster releases, but for casual and competitive gaming on a tight budget, it delivers genuinely playable performance backed by a strong CPU that won’t hold it back.

Where this particular configuration shines is storage: a full 1TB SSD means your OS, applications and most-played games all benefit from fast SSD load times — not just a small boot drive — while the additional 1TB hard drive gives you a huge amount of extra space for your wider game library, downloads, and media files without needing an external drive. That’s 2TB combined, which is a genuinely generous amount of storage at this price point. As a refurbished unit, expect light cosmetic wear consistent with prior business use, but every system is functionally tested before it ships. The full tower form factor also leaves headroom to upgrade the graphics card down the line if you want more gaming performance later.

Who it’s for: this configuration is aimed at gamers and digital hoarders alike — anyone with a large existing game library, a big media collection, or years of accumulated files who doesn’t want to juggle external drives. The fast 1TB SSD keeps day-to-day performance snappy while the second 1TB drive absorbs everything else, making this a practical choice for budget gaming plus general storage-hungry use.

Compared with buying new, matching this specification — a 6-core i7, dedicated GPU, 16GB of RAM and 2TB of combined storage — in a brand-new pre-built would typically cost considerably more, and new budget systems rarely include this much total storage as standard. If you’ve been putting off buying a gaming PC because you didn’t want to compromise on space for your library, this configuration removes that trade-off without pushing the price into mid-range territory.

Every machine we sell has already been unboxed, cleaned, inspected and functionally tested by a technician before it’s approved for listing, so you’re never gambling on an unknown, untested secondhand computer. We’d rather be upfront about exactly what a budget graphics card can and can’t manage than oversell a machine and leave a buyer disappointed once it’s set up at home.

5 reviews for Dell OptiPlex Gaming Desktop (Intel i7-8700, GTX 1050 Ti, Dual Storage)

  1. Willow B.

PC runs fine but the extra 1TB HDD inside is noticeably noisier and produces a faint vibration compared to just having an SSD — worth knowing if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing. Otherwise does what’s advertised.

  2. Layla O.

Great value machine, i7-8700 has aged well for general multitasking. GTX 1050 Ti is entry level by 2026 standards but does the job for less demanding games.

  3. Kai R.

Really solid budget gaming PC. Storage setup means I never have to worry about running out of space, and performance for the price is hard to beat.

  4. Charlie E.

Dual storage setup is really handy, SSD for the OS and games I’m actively playing, HDD for everything else. Runs 1080p gaming at medium settings well on titles like Rocket League and Apex.

  5. Ethan G.

Happy with this purchase, arrived quickly and in good nick. Only small thing is the case fans are on the louder side compared to my last PC, but not a dealbreaker for the price.
